What is a pressurized pump?

A booster pump is used to maintain pressure in water supply networks that are not connected to the public water supply network. This is often used in rainwater networks, such as flushing toilets, watering gardens and lawns, or using sprinkler systems. In addition, this installation is also used on ships, in caravans and other vehicles. The hydrophore group consists of an expansion vessel, a pump and a motor.

How does it work?

A booster pump has an expansion vessel that is filled with air and is under the correct pressure, separated from the water by a membrane. The pump ensures that water flows to it expansion vessel is pumped until the desired pressure is reached. When water is used in the local water supply network, the pressure in the vessel will drop. Once the minimum pressure is reached, the pump will restart. This ensures that the water always remains below a certain minimum pressure. The check valve ensures that there is no loss of pressure through the supply line, so that the centrifugal pump does not switch on and off unnecessarily. A piston pump maintains its own pressure thanks to the built-in suction and discharge valves.
